new rear hatch for the extreme. this will be need for the trolling motor set up that will be done in the summer 05 this was not easy to make. The spacer is made of cutting board cut to fit the hatch then I sanded the spacer ring on a belt sander to fit the contour off the top of the kayak I made a cardboard template to help with the fit it turned out better than I planed

For the lucky one's that have a Malibu Extreme or an Explorer, I have something that will make you happy that you have one. I give you the rod slide holder. It has made my fishing trips much more fun and convenient. This little doodad keeps you in your seat where you belong; no bending over or sliding up your kayak to reach your rod. When it is time to paddle just slide this bad motorfinger out of the way and it is time to go. No storing your rods + it looks cool and trick. I guarantee you will like it. Look for a removable model coming soon.

the bait tank is done and works perfect t I got rid of the control
valve and made a water restrictor. Now when the pump switch’s on it changes
the water in the tank completely. With the timer you can set it from 1.min on to
3.min off or 6.min off. I made the control box out of an otter box # 2500As you
can see it is completely waterproof with the wire seals out the sides. I run the
battery in the milk crate in a Tupperware container with a wire seal on that
too. The tank is held down with Turnbuckles and I made a gasket out of closed
cell foam and did a hose test on this and no water enters the yak. The overflow
drain can be adjusted too change the water level in the tank by turning the
Elbow up or down. If I have allot of bait I like to keep the tank level high and
as I use up the bait I will turn down the drain too lower the water level. The
pump pickup that goes down the scupper Hole is flush with the bottom of the
kayak in real choppy water this can cause some problems with Suction when you
are paddling so you will have too hit the primer bulb when you stop this don’t
Always happen just sometimes but in moderate chop and flat water it works
perfect I think it is better Than a pump and hose over the side. I also put a
screen in the line so my sprayer head won’t get plugged up. The pump can also
be used to drain the tank I just pull the pump out of the scrubper hole And put
a hose on it that I keep on the side of the tank then just drop the pump in the
tank and turn the Switch on manual and in 30 sec it’s done. that is it if you
have any???? Email me ![]()

I just purchased a kayak cart and could not be happier with my choice. The cart I bought is the Yak Kaddy by Scary Sports. This by far is the best one on the market. With the large front hatches on the Explorer & Extreme this cart fits under those with ease. It will also fit under the back hatch of the Extreme + it is very light - only 7 pounds, and it breaks down with ease and fits in it’s own little mesh bag. With a rating of 150 pounds, it is plenty strong for a fully loaded Extreme. The model I have is the MX. It adjusts to fit both my Explorer & Extreme. The best thing is it is inexpensive - only 99$ with shipping. It came to 109$ at this price. Why build one that you will just have take back to the car? Here are some pictures and a link to their website…. DP http://www.scarysports.com/
